"A Buche can help a family in need"
A feast for the eyes! The designer buche imagined by Tony Ward, renowned couturier, for Fleur de Lys, gourmet caterer, will steal your attention this holiday season.
Born from the collaboration between Tony Ward and Michel Ferneini for Libami, the project « A taste for goodness » started in 2010 with the first buche imagined by the designer for Fleur de Lys. The success of the initiative coupled with the growing needs of Libami, a charity organization helping underprivileged children gain access to education, encouraged both parties to launch a new 2014 edition.
To create the ultra-stylized gourmet-fashion dessert, Tony Ward drew his inspiration from the 3D geometric shapes often seen in his Couture creations.
Celebrity Chef and Fleur de Lys pastry consultant Charles Azar was chosen to elaborate this one-of-a-kind, deliciously refined creation. A thin velvet white chocolate crust holds a Madagascar Vanilla cream inserted between two chocolate biscuits and a light « gelée de griottes », embraced by a “dacquoise à la noisette du piémont biscuit” with a “feuillantine à la praline lactée”.
The buche will be sold at Fleur de Lys and La Posta Gourmet at the price of 100$. All proceeds will be donated to Libami.
