When the whole world is talking about Chipotle, the Mexican fast food franchise, you automatically expect something good. Should I be feeling bad for not liking Chipotle? I can’t deny the fact that my experience was not the best, and as I have been doing for the past few years, is say the truth no matter what the world thinks… "I couldn't stand Chipotle."

I liked the logo as well as the decoration as I walked into Chipitole in NYC. Then I approached the bar and came face to face with a food making machine and 100’s of people just waiting to be served… Quick quick handled by more than one person, your sandwich or plate is handed to you…rice, beans and sauces with a little bit of protein on top. The serving bar concept is all over the place this year. Fine, that's the trend.

But then when you start eating you'll understand that Chipotle is just about filling your body with fast Mexican food. Rice is mixed with bread and salad and some meat... Eating them together is an unpleasant experience, where your taste buds feel something hot then cold…

As for the wrap, a disaster it is. Ingredients are stacked separately so expect to have a bite of sour cream only in one bite and in another you may have some rice and maybe one bean.

Cheap ingredients with a little meat… close to inedible. Again, the problem is the style. Ingredients may individually taste fine but when mixed together... a disaster.

So my verdict, why eat at Chipotle when one can eat better food for the same price around one of New York's new concepts like Roast, Dos Toros, Fresh&Co or maybe Semsom.
