Have you ever had a traditional old breakfast in a beautifully decorated place, served by professional waiters, drinking San Pellegrino sparkling water and the soothing sound of a water fountain? "La Foule," a Lebanese breakfast restaurant has taken our traditions to another level speaking the youth' language. Foul and Hummus, Balila, Fatteh, eggs and beyond following today’s standards of hygiene and professionalism.

La Foule, open on Hamra street where Harley Davidson used to be, welcomes you for an all-day-breakfast experience. The place looks so nice and soothing. A floor made the old fashioned way; traditional copper bowls decorate the walls, modern wood boards, marble-like tables, transparent glass lights, arcades, and mirrors. Greenery follows you everywhere decorating the high glass facades. I felt good from the minute I walked in.

On the menu: starters and salads, goat cheese, labneh, and halloumi. Three choices of Foul, eight different kinds of Hummus, traditional meats, six choices of Fatteh and eggs. Everything is made in-house, the old traditional way. I was excited to order everything!

Welcomed like a king, the staff makes sure you are treated the way upscale restaurants do. Fresh bread, fresh vegetables, a bottle of local olive oil and design glasses; food landed on the table.

Fresh Zaatar salad, hummus Beiruty decorated with fava beans on top, Fatteh with Kawarma, Fattet Laban, eggs with awarma and Lahme Beajine. I LOVED THE FOOD!

Delicious food is served here, presented in a classy way. Copper pots for the hot Fatteh and Foul, round branded porcelain plates and a basket of bread. Slowly cooked fool, melts under your teeth, adequately spiced and seasoned. Juicy eggs with awarma, warm Laban mixed with tender fatty Awarma meat, tender labneh balls, intensely acidic fresh zaatar salad and specially mixed hummus with fava beans on top. Hummus with meat and pines. Do not leave without trying the signature Lahme Beajine beirouty made with layers of puff pastry and stuffed with minced meat; excellent one-of-a-kind Lahme Beajine you really have to try.

Food at “La Foule” has what Lebanese food needs: “Nafass".

I enjoyed my time, the mood, the food, the staff and then came dessert. Yummy desserts you should not leave without trying. Foul for the youth, clean and upscale using the best ingredients out there, try "La Foule", avoid garlic and you will feel light all day long.
