Other than the famous Cedar Lounge at Beirut's International airport, two lounges are open to welcome you while waiting for your flight; The Beirut Lounge and The LAT Lounge. Which was once The Byblos Lounge is today LAT Lounge, revamped, refurbished and renewed into a casual upscale space with a view on the tarmac. A huge transformation… I felt good the minute I walked in.

Located on the first floor, pass Salt Restaurant and the Beirut lounge where you'll spot a signboard showing LAT. LAT handles services for more than 30 airlines of which Air Armenia, Turkish Airlines, British Airways, Iran Air, Tarom, Algeria, Fly Dubai, Aeroflot, Wings of Lebanon, Bulgarian Air among others.

Have a card? You can access the lounge: Diners Club, Privilege Card and American Express are accepted or simply pay thirty dollars and enjoy the lounge services.

A wide space feels fresh and relaxing. Grey is the new color, white is the mood with long glass facades offering a view on the Lebanese mountains. Be welcomed at the reception and walk in. Several sofas made of Grey leather and fabrics surround high and low tables. Electricity plugs are only available by the window. The lounge has two televisions one on each side. You can even smoke in the dedicated closed smoking area.
