On my last trip to Paris, the choice was to spend few days at a five star, something fancy without being too luxurious. L’Hotel du Collectionneur was a perfect choice from start to end. Located in the heart of the capital, walking distance from L’Arc de Triomphe, this hotel made me enjoy my stay in the capital, and I’m planning to come to it in the months to come.

Right in front of the elegant Parc Monceau, only a few minutes away from the Champs Élysées, and the art galleries of the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the hotel is ideal if you want to discover and experience Paris. Open the doors and dive into the elegance and refinement of the 1930s.

After being welcomed by one of the majordomos, check in at the reception to the left before taking the elevators, situated to the right, to one of the hotel’s floors. The rooms have an area of 30sqm, offering an exceptional set up in the heart of Paris. Studied with care, their decoration is inspired by the greatest designers of the Art Deco period.

A wide bathroom, a luxurious setup, relaxing beds, a full set of amenities… everything is guaranteed to make you enjoy your stay.

The next morning, breakfast was held in the ballroom down below. A wide choice of items starting with the eggs, sausages, fruits at the live stations and fresh baked goods. Five sections filled with mouthwatering possibilities. The tables were covered with a complete set of cutlery, coffee, tea and hotel water with the tower of jam pots.

I Loved Breakfast:

  • The moist scrambled eggs, full of taste and oil-free
  • The thickness of the ham
  • The softness and lightness of the croissants
  • The quality of the salmon

That same day, we had lunch at the hotel. A large buffet of small bites and sandwiches, prepared to perfection. I loved the salads, the roast beef sandwiches, the choice of cheese and cold cuts, the warm notes of cheese and ham, the chicken and meat skewers, as well as the fine desserts that ended the experience in style.

Everything seemed to be great until, on the last night, someone knocked on my door. Greatness turned into perfection as a gentleman offered me a box of La Maison du Chocolat chocolates. It turned out that the 1st floor had experienced a hot water problem that took time to solve, every room in the affected section was offered a box of dark chocolates. The finest of Paris’ chocolates, offered by the hotel to apologize for an unintentional technical issue.

Next time you’re in Paris and searching for a good 5 star, consider L’Hotel du Collectionneur.
