I LIKE IT.

We went on an Abra tour, on the meandering waterways, that took us through Madinat Jumeirah enjoying the Arabian architecture discovering the resort before arriving to ThaPai. "As we arrived, took our seats on the terrace overlooking Madinat’s serene waterways – the perfect accompaniment to PaiThai’s gourmet cuisine. The lavishly decorated terrace and traditional culinary sensations culminate in a quintessential Thai experience, where it’s all too easy let your mind wander to the River of Kings."

I have been to a lot of restaurants in Dubai from the very average to top of the list, and PaiThai is one of my favorites. The warm wooden floors and nice atmosphere welcome you to a nice Thai experience, with a variety of dishes that I must admit is very rich in flavor. The setup, the ambiance, the food, the taste, the service and the experience are simply majestic. From the warm welcoming and the aromatic towels followed by the smiley waiters who accompany you to your table, I loved every aspect of it.

Some of the reviews I read over the net say that it is an expensive restaurant, other talk about a dimmed lighting, things I don't agree on. You feel transported into a story that ends when the golf carts take you back to the hotel's lobby.

During the night, A Thai entertainer Wanthakan Khamsuk was performing magically.

The Menu sections:
- YAM (Salads)
- THOD (Fried)
- NUNG (Steamed)
- YANG (Grilled)
- Soups
- Main Course (Curry, Wok fried, Wok fried rice and noodles)
- Side Dishes
- Desserts (Traditional and contemporary)

I enjoyed the food, the rich flavors of herbs, coconut milk among many more Thai flavors...
