A Fridge That Makes Coffee? It's About Time

In an age where evertything is going "smart" and all sort of technologies out there can do all kinds of things, it's surprising that it's taken this long to see a fridge that dispenses fresh coffee.

GE has unveiled a new French door refrigerator with a Keurig K-Cup Brewing System built into the door. The new GE Café French door refrigerator, expected to be in the market in the second half of this year and costing $3300, brings together GE’s hot water dispenser and the technology of a Keurig system to simplify single-serve brewing at home.

Some features to expect: The water it uses is purified before it's dispensed, which will certainly help improve the taste of your hot beverages. And the fridge can even be remotely controlled from an app, letting users schedule times for when the water is pre-heated so it's immediately ready to dispense when you roll out of bed in the morning and need every bit of assistance you can get to face the day. Not to mention the space saving in the kitchen...
