There’s one innovative and crazy creation that started three years ago at Souk el Akel... a roll that I used to crave for every single day. I used to arrive at the souk, grab a Manoucheh followed by a Sushi Burrito. Fresh, fulfilling, balanced and tasty, the Sushi Burrito at ICHIBAN is one of my favorite street food eats.
Rolled a-la-minute, the burrito is to die for. A sheet of nori, tender rice, fresh salmon, crunchy crisps, thinly sliced vegetables and fresh fish (tuna, crab or salmon).
I've had many in my life; I’ve traveled to New York to taste what they offer, and I've come back to Lebanon proud of what we can create. It’s a thick and loaded Sushi Burrito, soft - but not chewy - rice, premium quality fish, fresh vegetables, crunchy crisps, mayo and a hint of spiciness. It's your ticket to Japan and back, and it's American know-how and Lebanese passion in every bite. Ichiban’s Sushi Burrito is one of the best street food cravings, a must try it. It would be a tragedy not to have it at least once in your lifetime. Who wants to use chopsticks on the street when you can get the same feeling in a sandwich? Four times the size of a maki, filled to bursting: Rice, salmon, crisps, avocado, mayo and much more wrapped in a nori leaf to go.
I still enjoy it like the first time.
