After Achrafieh, Rmeil, Mar Mikhayel, Gemmayzé, Monot, Abdel Wahab Sodeco, it was the turn of Armenia Street inhabitants to benefit from a Car Free Day a now, set tradition by Achrafieh 2020, that aims to a better, less polluted, greener environment. The event was held on the 26th of April 2015 from 10am to 7pm.
Visitors enjoyed an event celebrating the Armenian Remembrance.
The vast majority of outdoor urban space is dedicated to the private vehicle, while only a fraction of that land is allocated to open space for people. During this Car Free Day, Armenia Street was transformed dedicated to pedestrian activities while haveing a special Wall of Remembrance for all to "Take a Stand, Write to Never Forget".
