With water flowing from all sides, Al Midyaf welcomes you on the bank of Al Barouk river. Serving Lebanese specialties like all other restaurants on the strip, Al Midyaf adds a funky light twist to its ingredients add more fun and flavor to it's choices.
On today's menu is a selection of appetizers:
- Hummus Bayrouti
- Stuffed grapevine leaves
- Hummus with pistachio
- Labneh balls with fried raisin
- Labneh with nuts and blue cheese
- Eggplant Moutabbal with pomegranate molasses
- Fattouch
- Mouhammara
- Al raheb salad
- Raw meat
- Tabbouleh
Small portions are served which gives you a chance to taste a bit of everything without feeling full. There’s a light sweetness to the Mouhammara, the pomegranate molasses blends perfectly well with the eggplant purée, the labneh balls are big in size and surrounded with dried raisins for the sweetness, the labneh and cheese is embraced with crushed nuts, and the hummus with pistachio toppings is good and the hummus Beiruty is also great.
It was love at first bite, clean, neat with clear flavors. Good taste is matched with a warm welcoming service and good service.
One of the many restaurants I visited in Barouk, Al Mediyaf is one to consider next time you head up to the Shouf.
