I enjoyed dinner so much that I planned another visit; this time for breakfast. Ana La Santa is where the decor is soothing, where the vibes are positive and where food is tasty! Dinner was indeed memorable, and I was sure breakfast would be as well.
With sun-rays coming from behind the buildings dropping directly on the buffet plates, light music playing in the background and a busy chef preparing his dishes in front of people in the center, I sat to enjoy my morning, in fact, the last one in Madrid.
I loved the salmon, the fluffy and buttery croissant, the carrot cake and its crunchy walnuts, the orange cake and its crunchy seeds, the bacon but not the eggs Benedict. Why would someone use “Pain Au Lait”, sweet bread for the eggs!? Come on chef!
Brightly lit, the restaurant looks even better than last night. A living space and its library, a closed terrace with a view of the street, wooden tables and the middle island which turned out to be a kitchen and not only a bar.
I loved it here!
