I had work in the area that day, as I drove by Cocoa&Co. I just stopped and walked in...
I ordered a cup of latte and browsed through the sumptuous display of cookies, cupcakes and cakes. The details, the colors, the design of each... you truly feel that every piece was created as a unique piece of art. I tried their cookies, a selection that included gingerbread cookies, buttery sable and chocolate sable. A perfect pick-up boost for the day.
I also tried their chocolate cupcake. Soft and moist decorated with butter cream and sugar glaze. I felt bad eating it... not for the calories, but for ruining its design. Other flavors include nutty banana, spicy carrot, orange and vanilla. They also serve a variety of other tasty stuff including my favorite ice cream Oslo. I was too full to have a scoop... next time.
Being in Cocoa&Co I really felt that I escaped space and time. The owner, Hala Beydoun, says, “Colors are about love of life, of passion. they reflect a mood, a feeling, and bring out reactions in the viewer,”
Everywhere you look, there's something to see, a story to tell and an image to take and preserve. I loved it. Unique, although packed with details, its soothing somehow.
It's not your ordinary coffee shop and definitely a place you can stop in every once in a while to escape the hustle and bustle of your day. Make sure to stop by their restroom while there, a whole new world awaits you in there... Go check it out and let me know what you think.
On my way out bought a pack of sushi cupcakes and a pack of my favorite game Angry Bird characters. They look real... Loved them.
