It’s marvelous! A dream place, a haven I dream of owning. A foodie gourmet hub I hope one day will open in Beirut. It’s so fresh, happy and vibrant... enter into a little paradise decorated with green walls, paintings and a display of fresh vegetables — your unconventional supermarket where food is served from available arrivals. Music, setup, and decor, I felt transported!
Walk by the olive tree, tour around the bar, have a look at the fridges, watch the butcher in action, choose your fish and premium cut for dinner or takeaway.
Start with the selection of black olives and fresh pita bread straight from the oven.
The potato salad is so finger licking good! Samphire cherry tomatoes, smoked pork, baby potatoes, hot pepper, Sunny side up egg and mustard vinaigrette. It’s so, so, so good. Fresh, tasty, balanced, beautifully textured... created to impress! Sometimes I wonder what makes me walk into a place feeling and knowing that I will be impressed. I was impressed! I’ve been in Athens for 48 hours, this is the first plate I finished entirely.
I thought the salad was the best... then came the pappardelle with pork and beef ragout, tomato sauce and feta cheese. Bravo! Cooked al dente, mixed with an acidic sauce and tender meat chunks covered with fresh crumbles of cheese, the combination rocks!
Who said fries should be enjoyed with ketchup? Try them with the feta cheese cream and enjoy unique the taste of gourmet flavors. Sausages are like any sausages I’ve had, good enough but nothing to talk about when you enjoy such amazing combinations like the pasta and fries.
I’m happy to have discovered this little paradise for you to enjoy next time you’re visiting Athens.
