I’ve been following the Google Maps ratings for some time and usually, they do not miss. Searching for ice cream around the hotel, the app led me to Helados Patagonia Artesanal, a shop where people were waiting in line for a cone of ice cream. This ice cream reminded me of the one I had in Washington and still remember to date. Italian gelato without any sophistication and without the unneeded sweetness many ice creams have.
Coconut that tastes like fresh coconut, Spanish Turron nougat showcasing flavors of the land, banana split as I’ve never had before in my life and hearty dark chocolate. The kind of ice cream I like and appreciate, light-bodied, airy, fresh and flavorful.
On another hand, the welcoming could have been better, the place doesn’t look too welcoming and the portions are not too generous. But anyway, it will still be one of my favorite choices when visiting Madrid.
