Located in the heart of Paris, a few meters from the world’s most famous avenue, Hotel Daniel is one of the few Relais & Chateaux of the French capital. Being owned by a Lebanese and a sister company of the Hotel Albergo of Beirut, I wanted to visit Hotel Daniel on my next visit to Paris.

Luxurious and simple, Hotel Daniel is an upscale hotel oozing calm and serenity. You’ll get acquainted with the staff, get greeted every morning, enjoy a simple breakfast, have your coffee prepared at the hour you desire... live with them for the duration of your stay. I spent four calm days which I enjoyed and will surely repeat whenever I have the chance to.

Spending a week in Paris, I chose Hotel Daniel. One of the few Relais&Chateaux of the French capital, the hotel is located in a very calm street st walking distance from several bars and restaurants. Take a left, then a right, and you’ll be on the Champs. We were welcomed, pampered and respected for an enjoyable stay.

Arriving at nine in the evening, the staff and manager were waiting for us. Up, on the fourth floor, a cozy room hosted us for a week. A big bathroom, a king-size bed, a working desk and a view on the street below. The high definition television broadcasts a wide selection of national and international channels.

Down at the lobby, the hotel feels classy and European with touches of orientalism. A design from the last century embraces middle eastern notes of style which follow you to the room. A cabinet here, a table there, a sink or a chess table, you will be reminded of the hotel’s Lebanese origins.

The room is relaxing: a television, soft beds, a balanced temperature, a strong water pressure, bathroom amenities, a complimentary bottle of water, two cupcakes as a welcome note, enough lighting, and calmness. You will feel a personalized service when your room is attended to every time you leave the hotel. The problem is touristic hotels around the city is that you are treated like a number; at Hotel Daniel, you will feel like family.

Every morning, breakfast is served at the restaurant behind the lobby. Fresh bread, croissants, viennoiseries, corn flakes, milk, orange juice, cheese and ham, coffee, jam, fruit salad, and yogurt. Ham and cheese sandwich with a spread of butter is my favorite; try it!

I took as many photos as I could, enjoy them and probably plan your next visit to Paris.
