Perfection and finesse is what Iceland is all about and it ends with a great last impression when you visit the Saga Lounge, Icelandair's business lounge.
Reach Gate 6, take the elevator and move down to Level 1, where a door opens up in front of you to a room of dimmed lighting, blue colors and fine wooden materials.
To the left is the lounge, a large lounge, fully covered with wood parquet and fitted with hundreds of relaxing sofas and individual seats. Dimmed lighting follows you around, calm, serenity... A perfect way to relax between flights.
Brick, beige, green, grey, blue and black sofas fill the space. Recessed in wooden walls, the different sections offer a feeling of privacy. Some corners are fitted with black leather sofas, while the rest of the space has relaxing individual seating with armrests and an electricity plug next to them.
The walls are decorated with beautiful paintings and pictures from Iceland as well as posters about the history of the airline. In the left corner, a small box has games for your kids.

It was 06:30am and I couldn't eat much but believe me, you should! I couldn't resist trying their Iceland smoked lamb, which was magnificent. A very strong, smoky aroma and a lamb that's moist, not chewy and flavorsome. The dessert, the same one I had at breakfast yesterday, is even better than the one at the luxury hotel. Puff pastry filed with warm jam and topped with crunchy nuts. It seems like a specialty and it rocks!
Even the coffee was different. I had a mocha which I really enjoyed.
Impressive to say the least! I was falling even deeper in love with this country.
