Where tradition meets creativity and taste, Il Luogo di Aimo e Nadia is a great place if you want to experience the Tuscan tradition, while also enjoying a modern atmosphere.

The restaurant was awarded two Michelin stars.  It's a nice, small and simple place with lots of modern paintings on the walls. The room is very well managed with a special acoustic and decorative white ceiling. I wanted to choose the Tagliatelle made of ancient varieties of wheat with sauce guinea-hen, fresh chestnuts and porcini mushrooms, and afterwards the Tuscan Suckling Pig flavored with header honey with sorbus tree berries compote. It ended with a total decision on the table to go for the tasting Degustation Menu: Bread Tomato And Capper With Burratta Cheese, then Octopus cooked on a stone from the surrounding mountains, then an outstanding and delicious Saffron Risotto with Burratta cheese and zucchini, followed by a Turbo Fish with onions and eggplant, and finally the journey ended with a plate of Goose and Venison Meat with Ricotta and Potato.

The dinner was so tasty and full of flavors and passion. To top things off, a desert of Chocolate Mousse, Fox Grape Soup and Vin Burl Sorbet decorated the table. Mr. Aimo was always present, touring between the tables, giving his opinion and asking ab his clients satisfaction. Then Nadia joined him at the end, after she was done from the kitchen. They use silver Christofle cutlery and crystal cups.

The portions are generous for a tasting menu. Their butler is very professional and knows the composition of every single plate. This restaurant has its own sommelier helping in the choice of wines from a 30 page carte depending on the food ordered. We chose the best Chianti available, the Castello Di Ama 2004, a Chianti Classico. The best thing here is that people are happy, enjoying the food, and socializing between each other:  you feel comfortable like eating at home.  I recommend this place, as it’s truly best place to eat in Milano.
