If you’re interested in catching some typical Lebanese cuisine outside of Lebanon, Layali is your place.

Layali is a typical Lebanese restaurant outside Lebanon from the same group who brought you NEO.

Ever since its birth in 2002, Layali is genuinely branded as Doha’s finest Lebanese restaurant and has been awarded twice by Qatar Today as the best Arabic Cuisine in the nation in 2007 and 2010.

Usually it's not easy to have the same taste of the Lebanese tradition whenever you are outside the country, but Layali has got it down pat. It’s tasty varieties at affordable prices. I like the decoration as well.

A nice review to check on Doha Dining.

Walking into this restaurant, ideally located on the Salwa Road, one can understand and accept why this place is the talk of the town. The atmosphere is simply buzzing! It takes a few minutes to get a table but this is forgivable considering the sheer amount of people usually in the restaurant. Looking around, it is obvious that the Arabic, Lebanese and Moroccan’s in Doha adore this place. But this restaurant also caters for the more special guests within Doha - members of the Government as well as other prominent figures cement Layali's superb reputation. The food is wonderful - juicy meat kebabs, succulent whole fish, fresh salads and a desert menu to die for! The fresh potato salad was excellent - seasoned and dressed well. It is all to easy to fill up on the warm homemade bread but make sure you leave some room for the food because it is what this restaurant is famed for. The service also is fantastic - efficient staff always with a smile on their face, making your dining experience pleasurable. It is no surprise that diners are advised to book a table on weekends as the restaurant is one of the most popular restaurants in town. The food prices are mid-range, not as expensive as some of the 5 star hotels but it definitely won’t be available on everyone’s budget. But if you’re looking for a real Arabic experience topped off with some excellent food and an electric atmosphere then this should definitely be on your list! One should also mention the Layali Lounge in Villagio Mall - not quite the same atmosphere but the food is just as good and ideal for a more up market stop off when out shopping.
