It feels like home from the minute you walk in. Fresh aromas of food, two chefs working behind the counter, a gentle lady helping with the order make sure you are treated like a king. I felt good... I felt really good from the minute I walked in, was treated to a Lebanese “Plat du Jour” dish, a complimentary bag of chips and several international sandwiches. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Le2metna is a clean and upscale “Bistro de quartier,” the Lebanese way.
I was craving “Rezz 3a Djeij” for so long... with that, hummus with Shawarma, a loaded plate of fattouch and two sandwiches. Even though a self-service restaurant, we were treated to good service, enjoying the home quality tasty food.
OMG! The Rizz 3a Djeij is outstanding!!!!! Amazing food, homey flavors, a smiley hostess/manager and I was flying from joy!!! Rice cooked to perfection, mixed with minced meat and accompanied with a handful of crunchy nuts. The side of chicken is moist and juicy. Bravo a hundred times; I was not expecting such quality and taste from a “Snack.”
I loved the hummus, loaded with meat shawarma, a tender top quality meat. Try the Fattouch; it’s zesty, acidic and so intense with flavors of pomegranate.
Not the “Lebanese Submarine” I expected but an excellent sandwich loaded with cheese, salami, lettuce, tomato, olives, and pickles. Again the quality stands out! Fluffy fresh bread, flavorful ingredients, and much love poured into the making of this sandwich.
Good food, very good food indeed; I’ll recommend Le2metna to all my friends. I will come back for the “Plat du Jour,” next time I’m passing by the region.
