One of the best experiences I had in Greece, a filling homey lunch yet very interesting. Located on the hills of Poros, Paradisos is a simple family owned restaurant, handled by the lady of the house herself who bakes and prepares pulled pork, pork chops and lamb on skewers like her parents taught her to do... the experience was memorable!
We reached a home with a terrace, a church near it, and several tables set under a grapevine. An entire lamb rotating around a skewer and pork chunks impaled on a giant metal skewer. Behind the restaurant is where the pulled pork is calmly and slowly cooked for many long hours.
Arrive here, make sure to take photos of the food being prepared before choosing a table for lunch. When you see the food being prepared you can't help but order a portion of everything. Large plates, filling plates served with French fries ready to amaze you.
I loved it and believe the photos speak for themselves. Very tender, extremely flavorful, super enjoyable, the meat is to die for!
When in Poros, Paradisos is a restaurant one should not miss.
