TEDxLAU at The Lebanese American University, Beirut CampusTraveling a lot, and while sitting on the plane, I've been used to watch the TED podcasts on my iPad. Interesting talks and ideas worth spreading that changed my life... and since then, I dreamt of being one of TED's speakers. A dream that came true. I will be sharing my ideas in TEDxLAU, TimeCapsuleX event on August 23rd. See you there. So what is TimeCapsuleX about? When you remember your past, do you think of beautiful childhood memories, of you playing around with friends, enjoying your favorite cartoon, having a family picnic? or do you think of dark, troubled and somber times, when things weren't that great? Are you a more present-oriented person? thinking of how to enjoy the moment for you never know what will come tomorrow? Carpe Diem? Seize the day! and let's take a selfie? Or do you happen to be the type of person who's constantly working toward the future? Endless to-do lists, endless options and alternatives. So focused on the future that you can't enjoy the food you're eating right now because it's time taken from your planning and preparation? Regardless of where you are on the time spectrum, time has a huge impact on who we are... and how we behave! This year's event will celebrate the power of time with all speakers. We'll evaluate this obsession with time, while revisiting old memories, embracing the present, and creating new ones! Our "time capsule", fondly dubbed "time capsule X" will allow us to preserve these memories, this new collection of meaningful experiences and information, so we can share our collective wisdom and ideas with one another, and with our future selves! Don't let time pass you by. Let's create our own collective memory box! Our shared time capsule.
