"Souk el Akel" an event by NoGarlicNoOnions is a weekly food haven, a fair where you can enjoy hot, authentic and fresh street food prepared by some of the country's finest culinary artisans and skilled chefs. Come and rediscover Lebanon's rich food and culinary environment, while trying unique, delicious signature bites freshly prepared by over 25 handpicked food vendors and outlets. Souk el Akel takes place every week in the heart of Downtown Beirut behind the municipality building, come and discover the very best Lebanese street food and grab a bite, or three, to go! Dig into fresh fish sandwiches, burgers of all sorts, a huge variety of specialty fries, gourmet manouches, pulled pork sandwiches, ice cream, baked potato and more.

Join our community and enjoy great food in a fun, welcoming atmosphere, help local chefs and vendors, creative artisans and talented cooks, all while tasting some wonderful bites. From local artisans’ ‘Tabkhat’ to everyday restaurants and cafés for all budgets, all of our vendors are hand picked to bring you the best of the best. Sample signature bites from a curated selection of nearly 30 food vendors, housewives, students and chefs... world-renowned Lebanese classics to celebrity chefs and pop-ups, and street inspired dishes from Beirut’s famous restaurants! Designed as a public market space, chefs and producers from various parts of Lebanon will be serving an array of quality meals – on the go!
