It took me some time, I know! I have finally visited Swiss Butter, Lebanon’s trendiest restaurant for the last year or so. Busy and always booked, Swiss Butter has opened its second branch on Jal el Dib’s internal road at “Jardin de Chine” previous location. The guys have done it right, and it starts before even going in.
Creating a Lebanese brand from scratch, the guys behind the concept -who I actually don’t know- started by a funky logo and a catchy name. Imagine a concept created behind one single sauce! Walk in and discover a New York style casual eatery decorated with urban materials giving the space an industrial modern feel. Metallic land, container panels, wood, and relaxing chairs.
The idea is simple: you have three choices of meat and fish to choose from, baked potato or fries, brown bread, or white. Loaded, the platters are fulfilling! What makes the food special is the sauce and how meat and salmon are served in cast iron pots.
To tell you the truth, I didn’t visit before because many told me about that sauce that contains garlic; I can safely say, that I might have felt some traces that didn’t have any effect on my body. So, if you are garlic intolerant like I am, eat at Swiss Butter.
Close to the entrecôte sauce and proudly developed in Lebanon, the green sauce is an excellent addition to your beef, chicken, or salmon. Dip your fries in for double pleasure.
We were served by Stephanie, smiley, and professional, I enjoyed my time, the food and vibes. It took me time to visit, but I’m happy I did so.
