It’s a hotel located on top of a mall, surrounded by dozens of restaurants and shopping possibilities, where the team is well trained, and breakfast is exceptional, a business and leisure hub I enjoyed staying at and will be visiting again in the near future. The Intercontinental hotel happens to be in the heart of Festival City, minutes from the airport and only ten minutes from the Dubai Mall. Hosting a dozen restaurants other than the ones at the mall, you’ll be sure to fill your time.
The team is professionally trained and ready to satisfy all your needs. You are greeted well and pampered for the duration of your stay. Grab your key and move up to the room.
The good:
- A vast room with a big bathroom, a shower, and a bathtub.
- All rooms have a desk and sofa to relax.
- Choose your room with a fountain view or city view.
- Free internet is provided to all guests.
The bad:
- The fountain noise is unbearable until midnight; Choose your room city side.
- The air conditioning unit has been installed in front of the bed throwing its cold air on your face during the night; that’s an unacceptable engineering mistake!
Breakfast is a must! The biggest, the richest and the cleanest breakfast I’ve seen is more of a DJ day lunch buffet than a simple morning treat; you dream of it, it exists! Anything you might imagine, the buffet of dreams including mix and match choices from the four corners of the globe. Twelve live cooking stations, long and endless displays of fresh offerings, delicious preparations and this in a pleasant and refreshing setup created of wood and colorful lines coming all the way from the high ceiling.
The intercontinental did it right! A beautiful space created around fresh and earthy material makes you feel the morning vibes and appreciate every movement of your breakfast moment; glass, wood, metal, trees with light coming from all around the room. Light music adds positive vibes. Open kitchens prepare delicious food a la minute; cooking sounds yet no smell. Happy waiters spread happiness...
A hotel with positive vibes, I enjoyed my stay and will make sure to repeat it whenever I have the chance to. The Intercontinental Dubai Festival City feels like home away from home.
