A new surprise from Häagen-Dazs: 'Tomato Cherry’ and ‘Carrot Orange’ flavors. Starting 12 May, the two new flavors which are part of the brand’s ‘Spoon Vege’ series, will roll out in Japan.
According to RocketNews24, the ‘Tomato Cherry’ flavor combines the “natural sweetness of tomato with the fruity flavor of cherry,” while the ‘Carrot Orange’ takes the “gentle flavor of carrot and adds to it the fresh citrus taste and scent of orange”.
“Tomato Cherry combines the natural sweetness of tomato with the fruity flavor of cherry, which should accentuate the rich taste of the tomato.” While Orange Carrot “takes the gentle flavor of carrot and adds to it the fresh citrus taste and scent of orange, giving the carrot a sophisticated and refreshing twist.”
Joining that parallel vegetable-based product universe currently occupied by things like Blue Hill's savory yogurt (beet, sweet-potato) and Numi Tea's entire savory line (broccoli cilantro) are Häagen-Dazs Japan's forthcoming Tomato-Cherry and Carrot-Orange varieties, which are exactly what they sound like.
