Taste the Italian spirit in all its flavourful ways in Dubai.

After visiting this cozy Italian restaurant located at the Sheraton Creek Hotel, you’ll walk away with an experience you hope will happen again in the near future. With the ability to serve you indoor and outdoor, Vivaldi offers you a beautiful view of the creek that carries a calm and soothing ambiance. And if you’re interested, the open kitchen allows you to experience live cooking by the funky and zesty Italian house chef. Arriving at eight-thirty, we had the opportunity to choose a table outside. We were then welcomed by the chef and the friendly waiters who really contributed to making our evening a memorable night.

There wasn’t a single request that went unheard or neglected, and every moment we looked away from our tables we were greeted with warm, smiling faces. The menu provides a wide array of cold and hot starters, soups, ginocchio and risotto, pizzas, meat plates, seafood based platters and desserts.  And to show their consideration for customers coming from all different backgrounds and belief systems, the menu is carefully grouped in four categories:  dishes containing alcohol, pork, nut or others that suit vegetarians. Our meal was unforgettable.  We ordered the Calzone Pizza that was filled with turkey ham, mushroom, tomatoes and mozzarella cheese.  It was a mouthwatering meal from the presentation to the color, with a great taste my taste buds were happy to welcome. The calzone was perfectly cooked, simply stuffed and beautifully decorated.

And I would surely recommend it to anyone visiting Vivaldi. The pizza was followed by homemade Potatoes and Tortellini stuffed with herbed rabbit ragout.  Four pieces of hand rolled tortellini carefully filled with soft meat and Vivaldi’s unique dressing.  It was so exquisite, I had a hard time believing anything would be able to match such delicious and satiable cuisine; however, the homemade Panzerotti, porcini mushrooms, raschera cheese sauce and white truffle oil decorated with some fine black truffle slices, was a close second.  From a dark dish to a white one, the versatility never ceased to impress. If you’ve come across an opportunity to dine at Vivaldi, we suggest ordering two different sorts of wine, the Linderman’s Bin 65 Chardonnay (special Australian wine) and the Corte Giara, Pinot Grigio delle Venezie 2010 to accompany your wine, as these grapes really bring out the Vivaldi sensation. At the end of our dinner, the hotel’s Executive Chef "Manish Law" passed by making sure his kitchen is running perfectly.  It was a pleasant chance for us to host him at our table for a quick chat.  His resume is stunningly impressive, with a number of Gold medals from different competitions around the world.

The Vivaldi is a place I would definitely visit again the next time I’m in town.
