The journey with Wagamama started in 2012 at that same location. Seven years passed, and here I come again to experience one of my favorite brands. I love the naughty child painted on the wall, the name, the branding, the communal tables, and food they serve. Wagamama Istanbul also has sushi on their menu, and I was willing to try it!
After waiting to be served -the slow service is a national problem!-, I ordered some of my favorite plates while noticing that the killer queen plate -Pad Thai- is not on their menu. Jazz music playing in the background, I hoped to be served before sunset.
The idea is to sit around long wooden tables, on wooden benches without back support, facing an open kitchen preparing your food a-la-minute. Wish not to be here when the rice cooker whistles. On the terrace or air-conditioned space, sit and enjoy Wagamama’s huge portions.
Excellent food I’ll recommend to all my friends visiting Istanbul. So good, so yummy, so balanced and fun at the same time. Casual sushi without being sticky and gooey. Delicious ramen noodles and sweet rice noodles with chicken. Yummy! I love it here except for the lousy slow service. Check the pictures and enjoy the experience with me.
