Beaune is France’s renowned capital of wine. Yet, my most outstanding memory was of something else. Beautiful Beaune’s local market was an experience unlike any other, even though there wasn’t much that was new. It was nothing short of Alice’s wonderland, where the market celebrated its finest.
Stepping into a kaleidoscope of colors that brings everything to life, the beautiful display of the most simple brought together color, smell, and feel for both the tangible, and unseen. It was the detachment from all the excess of an urban life, which allowed me to see the beauty of the pure, raw, and natural.
