World Diabetes Day: Spread Awareness

According to IDF Diabetes, "By 2040, over 640 million of us may be living with diabetes." That's a scary number...

Today, November 14 is known as World Diabetes Day, an internationally recognized day and an official United Nations Day. Why today? November 14th is a significant date; especially in the diabetes calendar as it marks the birthday of the man who co-discovered insulin, Frederick Banting. Banting discovered insulin in 1922, alongside Charles Best.
