Tune in chocoholics. A Dutch design studio has created a compact 3D chocolate printer for homes and restaurants that will look great resting on your counter top.
XOCO is a 3d-printer that can create customised objects in chocolate. Created by Utrecht–based Michiel Cornelissen, XOCO has a circular plate and a single printing pillar, over which sits a glass cover, giving the 3D chocolate printer an exceptionally sleek look and meaning that you can watch your little chocolate treat being made – out of milk, dark or white chocolate.
Everything in the design contributes to giving the process of printing a visually open impression, adding to the experience of creating your customised sweets.
Special attention is given to the interactive aspect of the process with a glanceable multicolour LED ring guiding the user through the printing process. All elements of the XOCO ecosystem of product, graphics, interaction, app and consumables contribute to a perfect creative experience for cooks and their guests.
