A luxurious stay needs a luxurious breakfast. Down at the lobby facing the bar is the breakfast space. A rectangular room lit with crystal chandeliers welcomes you for breakfast. Day light enters from the glass ceiling, soft music plays in the background, a professional welcoming waiter, a beautifully set table and the choice of food you would expect at a five stars hotel.

Three buffet tables offer a large variety of 85 different choices. The bread corner, the hot plates served in metallic pots and the main display. Croissants, pretzels, cakes, apple crumble and Danish pastry. A live ham cutting machine. Cereals, dried fruits, muesli, fruits, vegetables, a selection of cheese, cold cuts, honeycomb, fruit salad and yogurt.

Loved the way things are displayed, the content of the fruit salad, the fruits cut in quarters, the selection of cheese, the serving spoons, the ice buckets, coffee... Details make you feel special.

In addition to the buffet you can order eggs cooked your way, Benedict or florentine, royal or omelette. In addition to that try their pancakes and French toast.

The next morning we ordered a plate of pancakes, eggs Benedict and eggs florentine. Three plates that look so good you'll reconsider eating all of them. The pancakes is a tower of several thin pancakes served with maple and cherry marmalade. Fluffy and light, the flavor is so pure. Eggs Benedict as well as eggs florentine are cooked to perfection, floating yolk, fluffy and lightly chewy English muffin exactly like it should be with rich Hollandaise sauce. Add salt and pepper for a double pleasure.

While having breakfast we were transported by the soothing ambiance. A calm hotel, not a single sound, lounge music, people murmuring, smiling staff... I have rarely felt so enchanted in a hotel! Last night, the manager even called to inquire about our stay.

And the wonders continued on the third day. Eggs royal; Benedict with salmon, waffles and French toast. The same exciting English muffin topped with perfectly made poached eggs, a tangy Hollandaise and fine quality salmon. French toast are as good as they should be with a biscuity flakiness served with maple syrup on the side. Waffles, two of them, are moist and fluffy and they don't have sharp edges like those found at American diners. Very well done indeed.

I never imagined enjoying breakfast as much, taking pictures as mouth-watering as these ones, I had the best week here at the Park Hyatt Istanbul.

The staff have a certain a know-how as they work with such finesse that inspires confidence and trust. Not a single mistake, not one negative point. The Park Hyatt is where I'll be staying every time I visit Istanbul.

The last morning was a challenging one. I asked for sunny side up eggs with everything on the menu: Turkish sausages, potatoes, mushrooms, tomatoes, bacon and spinach. It took the chef half an hour to find a solution for the problem which came back with an outstanding result. I believe the hotel now has a new plate on the menu. Two sunny side up eggs served with pan-fried sausages and vegetables on the side. I loved my plate so much!

Surely one recommended breakfast out of hundreds I've experienced around the world, surely on my Top10 list. I rarely decide to visit a hotel again because I am always on the lookout for new places, but this one is different; I'll be back for more.
