If you ask me about my favorite three “Foul and Hummus” breakfast restaurants in Lebanon, Snack Fakhreddine will be one of them. Managed and operated by Ammo Baheej and his wife for more than fifty years, the couple creates unique plates prepared with love. “Nafass” is the main ingredient felt in every bite. Order foul, msabbaha and fatteh, enjoying every plate with a smile in your face.
Cooked for more than fifteen hours, fava beans melt under your teeth like butter. Hummus, whole chickpeas are so tender without being mashed like a purée. Fatteh, Laban and tahini mixed together, topped with fried nuts and crunchy fried bread.
