I just can’t forget the tasty flavors of Paris’ best ice cream. I arrived to Paris for a couple of hours and wanted to make the best out of it. I headed straight to Une Glace a Paris, a place that has become my address of choice when I am craving some good ice cream. It’s a little shop that serves awesome ice cream with beautiful colors and a superb texture. Next to that, by pure coincidence, I came across a place called Benedict.

I'm a big fan of eggs Benedict, something I order wherever I am and in all hotels I stay in. You can imagine my joy as I came across a called Benedict. I started craving and I was hoping their eggs are unique.

On Rue Sainte Croix de la Bretonnerie is Benedict, a place located between by Nature et Decouvertes and Une Glace a Paris. It's a beautiful and cozy space… tiles, wood and stones… you’ll find nice designed light wooden chairs and a bar. Down the hall is a fresh space, a closed terrace where day light naturally lights up the space.

Indeed, eggs Benedict is their specialty:

  • Truffle eggs Benedict: bun, big poached eggs, spinach and truffle sauce hollandaise. Two big eggs like the description suggests are poached to perfection leaving heir heart molten and yellow. Those eggs are served on a fresh bun, tender bread topped with a bed of spinach. On top is the sauce, lots of sauce, a mix of hollandaise and truffles turning the mix into a black emulsion embracing the restaurant with aromas.
  • These Benedict eggs are good! The restaurant being named after them, the guys mastered the art of eggs bringing together a mix of flavors and textures. I loved the eggs, loved the sauce and its zesty vinegar taste mixed with truffles as well as the spinach under it.

The only thing I would suggest is that they toast the bun a bit. It’s chewy texture is disturbing.

With that you're offered a cup of French fries, slim, tender well salted fries  with their skin.

Benedict it on my list for another visit. This street is kind of a dream come true, Benedict and ice cream, one next to the other! I can't wait to come back to Paris.
