Trendy and Luxurious decoration that I loved

Some of us go to Amsterdam for different reasons... to see the flower market or the red light district and maybe for a little something else... but unfortunately there are talk that there will be a ban against selling weed to tourists... but I suggest another reason why I would go to Amsterdam again soon...

On my last trip to Amsterdam after a long touristic trip around Europe and coming from Bruges, Belgium where I stayed at the Kempinski, I wanted to discover the real face of the city. It's luxurious hotels and tasty restaurants. The Bridges Restaurant located into the Sofitel Legend Hotel, The Grand Amsterdam. Put in mind that you will be paying up to 100 euros per person... but it's definitely worth it... it's a gastronomic splurge to savor. Fresh seasonal fish locally caught and sizzled with mouth watering taste that I can still feel, not to mention the great ambiance, nice and soothing white interior, the variety of good wine are but a few positive things I can say about the Bridges, a fine restaurant nestled in the 5-star Sofitel Legend the Grand Amsterdam hotel located along the Oudezijds Voorburgwal, the city's oldest canal. French Chef Aurélien Poirot creates French cuisine with local ingredients, drawing on his experience in Paris establishments such as Carré des Feuillants and Le Meurice. Like I said the menu is focused on seafood, with many raw bar items and tartar preparations. Simply yummy... In  nutshell, Bridges (Fins & Vins) serves Dutch fish with a French twist at Bridges.

The Bridges Vinothèque is the domain of sommelier Hans Tuin. From here he serves specially composed wine arrangements and vintage champagnes, straight out of the phenomenal wine cellar he lovingly maintains. A good selection of wines can also be ordered per glass. Hans is a regular in chef Aurélien Poirot's kitchen. Together they brainstorm over the perfect wine and dish combinations. Hans Tuin: "The menu of Bridges offers a lot of fish and other local specialties. Because of that, you'll find a lot of white wine on the menu. We also carry a fine selection of red wines, of course."

On that trip, I didn't find any available rooms at the Grand so I stayed at the Radisson Blu and loved the experience.
