I’m a fan or is it the nostalgia, Chili’s makes me happy... open for as long as I remember, Chili’s is today the only American diner of the kind available in Lebanon after the closure of all other franchises and the change of Crepaway and roadster into casual eateries. Chili’s is still the Chili’s I left back in 2016. Since 1999, Chili’s has been on a roller coaster of food and bad... steady today and still surviving.
Start with chips! I love the chips, even though fried, they feel baked and healthy, they’re super duper crispy, extremely crunchy and tasty! Served with a side of spicy chili tomato sauce, the chips are a great way to start your meal. A pitcher of frozen margarita and here I was enjoying my sole and favorite Tex-Mex diner in town.
And I ask myself the question: how does Chili’s do it? Food is good, portions are big and no one managed to copy. Fries to continue the journey, covered with minced meat, cheddar cheese, bacon chips and jalapeños on a mountain of fries. Moist and tender fries, embraced with melted cheddar and the flavorful sauce.
Pork ribs... amazing pork ribs, loaded with meat, socked with barbecue sauce and very very tasty. Fries that come with the ribs are different, cooked more, they crunch. I love it how they are unpeeled.
I loved the chicken strippers for the crunchy envelope and the milky heart. Chicken tenders longly marinated in milk or yogurt.
OMG! The sexiest dessert Lebanon has ever witnessed. Chili’s world famous chocolate molten cake makes the heart skip a beat.
