The best Italian and pizza in Prague. Papa Giovanni is one of the top pizza parlors I’ve ever been to. It’s a cozy, Italian atmosphere mixed with delicious and authentic cuisine, which is enough to make you come back again and again.
The Giovannia Restaurant is located in the centre of Prague on Melantrichova street, which links Wenceslas Square with the Old Town Square. The restaurant is characterised by the quality of its Italian and international food, taking care to use the best Italian products. They offer a wide range of quality wines from various regions of Italy on the wine list. The pizzas use typical Neapolitan dough prepared from select Italian flour, fresh mozzarella and conserved Neapolitan tomatoes, the pasta is cooked ‘al dente', and the vegetables, meat and fish are always fresh and of the highest quality.
I visited this place in 2009, came back in 2010, and will surely return in 2011. It’s a small and cozy place with a warm ambiance complete with large wooden tables that you might share with other customers, all with great food. The SOUPS are really tasty and the PIZZAS are large and yummy. You get both for $15 per person and it’s all inclusive.
