b+f Burger Boutique is a new diner and I must say my latest 'happy discovery' in Riyadh, KSA. Just in case I have not mentioned this before, I simply love burgers...
On every trip to Riyadh, I try to dine at international food chains or settle for simple type diners that stay safe from any surprises that may include garlic and onions. The night I arrived to Riyadh, my best friend from Lebanon picked me up for diner. He heard from his friends about this new much talked about burger joint in town, which apparently has amazing burgers that can easily compete with international names - and that's the b+f Burger Boutique.
The owners describe the place just right... "b+f Burger Boutique is an upscale casual restaurant concept focused on serving high-end American influenced food items like classic and gourmet burgers, sliders, globally influenced appetizers, steaks and grills, freshly made salads, accessories, homemade desserts, fusion smoothies and shakes in a trendy and hip space. The restaurant also boasts one of its kind wood fired brick oven pizzeria, offering a wide range of artisan Italian pizzas. The in-house bakery rolls out freshly baked bread on a day to day basis." Just thinking of that my mouth waters. The menu is huge divided into: Appetizers, Classic Burgers, Luxury Burgers, Hot Dogs, sandwiches, the grill, salads, pizzas and of course side dishes and beverages. You really don't know where to start and what to order. I was lost for choice.
I thought, since its the first time there, I should keep it simple and try a few items to to discover the quality. I went for the b+f Classic Burger, the West Coast Burger and their Dynamite Nachos. And believe me when I tell you that it was mouthwatering and I mean finger licking good. The bun was yellow and very soft. It reminded me of a delicious bread brand in France called "Harris" that produces the fluffiest bread in Europe - I found some lately in around Lebanon but sold at a high price, but its worth it from time to time. The meat was juicy without containing too much fat like the one I tried at Johnny Rockets . The nachos were so fresh, crunchy and the accompanying add-ons like cheese, were hot, tasty and generous. Even my friend, living in Riyadh, was astonished by the quality and taste of the food.
The ambiance was nice... looking around, you can't but enjoy the design of b+f Burger Boutique. It's a cutting edge and modern with some original diner elements. The whole place is welcoming enough that all your senses enjoy a good evening of good food and good design around. I wasn't expecting such a good experience.
It was simply WOW.
I would surely recommend this place more than any international burger chain around, especially after discovering that it is a local Saudi Arabian and Kuwaiti company and not an American one, as the quality may fool you...
