I’m a fan of the brand, I’ve been to its restaurants in Istanbul, London and now Malta; spreading happiness and inspiring casual Japanese cuisine since 1992. Ramen before it became a trend, rice dishes, Gyoza among others, coming here has been a pleasure since 2011. I love the positive vibes, the open kitchens, the diverse menu and simplicity of eating on a bench and shared tables.

Located in St.Julian’s, Wagamama occupies the spot right next to Mc. Donald’s on the bay. Excellent service and welcoming! Delicious food!

Have a Ramen, enjoy a loaded bowl of Ramen, duck ramen is the best. Continue and have a pad Thai chicken and shrimp; great noodles, sweet and sour with lemon zest. Excellent quality of ingredients, juicy chicken, tender noodles cooked -slightly al dente- and bathing in flavorful sauces.

What’s impressive and remarkable is that food has the same taste all around the world. Chefs have learned the original recipes replicating them with love. Generously loaded, bowls are created to amaze.

Notice something: the waiters have a special way of taking the order and another of writing notes on the paper placemats. And when all the food is served, they mark it on the paper’s corner without even talking about it subtly. Shrimp curry and rice are not to be missed; a favorite. Deep fried banana crunchy fingers and I was ready to hit the road again.

I’m still in love with Wagamama; I’ll visit again on my next travel destination.
