The Egyptian version of Chipotle or what is closer to Pret a Manger is a big spot on. I walked into a place where I felt transported to New York. Traditional Egyptian food revisited with style and modernism.
Very good food, real flavors, cleanliness and pure pleasure, food I never imagined tastes this good. The real Koshari I really enjoyed, tender and juicy. A plate of tender and flavorful liver cut in slices, soujok cut in cubes and the jars. Tried be Labneh jar with olives, the Knefe, the creme caramel and they're all very good.
At Zooba, familiar Egyptian street food is turned on its head. The Zooba brand is a celebration of Egyptian street food culture. Egyptian street food rivals the best in the world and that through Zooba the world can know about it.
The concept is clear and simple. A fridge displays all the jars and drinks, a live station for the street food, bread displayed here and there and an open kitchen for the hot food ordered. Photos talk for themselves, it was love at first site...
I loved the food and loved the mood... I would love to see Zooba around the world's busiest capitals.
