It's the dream pastry which started in Paris, more like a jewelry store than a simple pastry, a place where cakes are handled with care and displayed like pieces of art and covered with glass cloches... It's where cakes are taken seriously.
In Paris, the experience was memorable and surely La Patisserie des Reves is one of the capital’s finest. In London, although the place looks smaller they have seating and a coffee shop so why not sit for some enjoyment.
Tarte Tatin served with whipped cream on the side is simply fabulous. A clean and clear flavor made in heaven; layers of extremely well cooked apples that melt under your teeth like butter. Oh my goodness.
The eclair is breathtaking. This cake made me moan, it was an orgasmic cake with a thin layer of crunchy chocolate that’s intense in taste. A real enjoyment of light and tender dough with a heart of chocolate cream. Oh my God, it's one of the finest eclairs I've ever had.
And the St. Honore, one side is made of pastry cream and another of thick fresh cream and flaky pastry dough. I loved the textures and the wrapped sugar around the mini choux a la creme.
That's a croissant. Flaky as it should be and buttery like you expect a croissant to be. It is extremely rich and delicious.
Fabulous, simply fabulous… Just as delicious as they are in Paris, La Patisserie des Reves is a must visit.
